New Lecturer in the CRST

We are pleased to announce that Brian Wecht has accepted a Lectureship position in the Centre for Research in String Theory. Brian will join the CRST in October 2011.

Amplitudes 2010

The Centre for Research in String Theory organised a workshop on novel methods for calculating scattering amplitudes in perturbative gauge theory and gravity. The goal of this meeting was to review recent progress, stimulate interactions and collaborations, and inspire further developments. More information including slides of talks can be found here

PICS Workshop at Queen Mary

Strings

The Centre for Research in String Theory organised a workshop which served as a kick-off meeting for the joint collaboration we have with the Laboratoire de Physique Theorique et Hautes Energies at UPMC. The broad theme of the meeting was black holes in string theory, studied from different points of view. More information can be found here.
